Beach
The pure white beach is an ever changing sand tongue which is fully dependant of the wind and current of the sea.
It is known to be as long to almost reach the little rock island (Pinel Key) in front of Pinel island, but we’ve seen it very small as well, one could literally walk out of the giftshop into the ocean. Passing hurricanes haven’t made it any better. Due to the fact that they take away some palm trees, the sand loses it’s grip and the sea swallows another piece of beach. Luckily the owners of the businesses on Pinel are true “eco-businesses”. They plant new trees, strengthen the beach with sandbags and keep a constant watch on new developments.
So if you visit Pinel island you might find a long wide beach or a smaller rounded version.
In all occasions the beach is one of the best beaches of St Martin to sunbathe, swim, relax or snorkel. The shallow waters are an excellent place for kids to swim or have fun in the turquoise Caribbean sea.
The beach chairs are provided by the two restaurants, as well as the umbrellas.
A day on the beach at Pinel island gives you this extreme paradise feeling which you only see in commercials.
Keep Pinel clean and use the trashcans located on the beach.
