Our daylong visit to Pinel was heavenly. We enjoyed everything about the island...the sand, the shallow, protected, immaculate water, and the food at Karibuni was delicious & satisfying. Why had we waited until our 8th trip to SXM to make our way out to this lovely beach?  |
| To the locals at Pine1 Island. We plan to visit the island for the first time in the first week of September 2008. Our last name is spelled just like the island. We would love to find out any family tree history of Mr.Pinel's ancestory. Our great grandfather was a pearl diver in Costa Rica and possibly in the Caribbean Islands. His name was Prospero Pinel. Please respond!!!

| Awesome place to go with children, our 2 yr old loved the calm shallow water. Food and drinks can't be beat. Remember to bring enough cash so you don't have to skimp. We're coming back this November and Pinel is on the top of our list of places to go. |
